The Intersect Systems Records Control and Management System (RCAMS) is available through a contract with the Texas Department of Information Resources, and can be purchased by Texas State Agencies and Texas Local Governments directly through contract number DIR-SDD-2098.

The RCAMS system is designed to operate on computers running Windows XP, Windows 7, or Windows 8. RCAMS SQL is compatible with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and later versions, and with SQL Express 2005 and later. RCAMS supports electronic images in the tif, png, jpeg, gif, pcx, and bmp image formats.
The comprehensive RCAMS software system includes the following capabilities:
Retention Schedule Manager Develop a Records Control Schedule for your Local Government with point-and-click operations using the included up-to-date Texas Retention Schedules for State Agencies and Local Governments, published and updated in digital format by Intersect Systems.
RCAMS Records Database System Maintain a central, comprehensive database of physical records, electronic documents in a variety of formats, and microfilm reels or cassettes in Intersect’s standard database engine or the Microsoft SQL Server database.
RCAMS Acession and Accession Monitor Workflow components allow departments to look up their own records with read-only access from a LAN or WAN station, and to view and print electronic documents on-line, or to transmit requests for physical records directly to the records center with easy point-and-click selections.
RCAMS Global Editor Make global, or system-wide, changes in the RCAMS records database when a large number of edits, updates, or retention recalculations are necessary.

Intersect Systems software offers Institutional Licenses for most software applications. The Institutional License allows installation on unlimited stations within the licensing organization; no per-station or per-seat accounting is required. Exceptions are noted in the Software and Pricing list accessed in the following section.
