A new data conversion utility program is available from Intersect Systems. The utility program is designed to support transfer of container database and folder information from other data formats into Intersect Systems’ RCAMS Records Control and Management System. Initial configuration by Intersect is required to set up the conversion utility, after which the conversion program can be installed and run as a standard Windows-based application each time a data transfer is required.One Intersect customer is using the utility for moving information about imaged documents into containers and folder entries in the RCAMS 11 database, allowing use of the full search and query functions of RCAMS in locating imaged documents. In addition, RCAMS can be used in tracking destroy dates, keeping track of legal, audit, and historical holds, and storage locations for the imaged documents. |
The utility can be used with conventional database information as well.
